A Taste of History

Spring Meeting on April 20th

A delicious spring meeting awaits members and friends of the Hampton Historical Society.  The meeting on Saturday, April 20th begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Hampton Grace Methodist Church with a brunch served by the church members.  The reputation for delightful meals prepared at the church is well deserved.

Another institution famed throughout the Quad Cities for delighting taste buds is the subject of
the spring meeting program.  Annika Tunberg will speak about the history of Whitey’s Ice Cream.  Everyone will learn about the beginnings and growth of a business that has brought joy to residents of Hampton and the entire Quad Cities for decades.

The cost of the spring brunch is $10.00 per person. Society members and the general public are invited to attend.  Please consider bringing friends or family members to enjoy food and fun.  To
make a reservation call (309) 796-4196 and leave a message with your name and the number of people attending or text the information to (309) 721-9478.
Please make reservations by Tuesday, April 16th.

The Hampton Grace Methodist Church is located at 400 Second Avenue in Hampton.  The Society hopes to see as many people as possible at the brunch on April 20th.
